What it means to Belong, Believe, Become
Belong
You are accepted just as you are. We do this primarily by creating a Sunday morning celebration environment where anyone can come and everyone belongs. We embrace the concept of discovering a place that shares your beliefs and we encourage you to learn what we are about and what it means to have a relationship with Christ. We encourage you to make a commitment to seeking a relationship with Jesus Christ and the best way to do this is through discovery.
Learning what it means to Belong is for everyone, especially those who:
• want to investigate Christianity
• are new to The Jar
• are new Christians
• want to brush up on the basics
Believe
You find a relationship with Jesus Christ to be trustworthy. In this relationship you receive the gifts of joy and peace. Believing in Jesus Christ is not a leap of faith, but a step of faith based on firm historical evidence.
As you learn to Believe you experience Affirmation, Adoption and Advancement.
Affirm your decision to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord of your life through baptism.
Adopt the vision, values, beliefs and mission of The Jar.
- The Life Course – You were designed to be a part of a church family–and that is exactly what The Jar is intended to be. That's why at The Jar, we want to share with you what we believe and where we are going. We will answer your questions, share information about the vision and values of the church. This is for anyone interested in being a partner in The Jar. Check out our calendar for the next Life Course.
Advance your journey with Jesus at The Jar through serving the community.
- Serving – Everything we do at The Jar has an outward focus to it. We believe strongly that small things done with great love will change our community. For information on how you can serve our community check out local needs, global needs and ways you can serve at The Jar on Sundays.
Become
You develop into the person God created you to be. God created you for a unique purpose and plan. God desires that you become all that He created you to be. As you develop into His design for your life, you discover your God-given gifts to be used to serve others.
As you learn to Become, you experience developing and discovering more about yourself and your relationship with God.
Develop a contagious Christian faith that both "shows and tells" about God's amazing love for all people.
Discover your design and purpose in order to live a fulfilled life. Nothing compares to discovering what you were created for.
