Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear?
At The Jar, we believe that what you wear doesn't matter to God, so it doesn't to us either! We strongly encourage you to wear your favorite pair of jeans (or whatever makes you feel the most comfortable)! We care about you not what you're wearing. Our pastor even wears jeans!

What does your church have for kids?
We provide a full Children's Ministry for all ages.

What do you believe?
We believe that God is bigger and closer than we can imagine and that the Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living. We also believe that nothing in creation "just happened," but that God made it all. Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God and faith us the only way to grow in our relationship with God.

At The Jar we believe that everyone belongs. We believe that church is a place to serve people, just as Jesus did. For more, read our Vision and Values.

Why do you call your services "Celebrations"?
We intentionally use the word Celebrations to create a "party" feel. The idea is that we go out all week and do the works of Jesus, and come together on the weekend to celebrate what God has done this week, worship Him, and get encouraged to go out and follow Jesus next week.

How can I get better connected with other church members outside of Sunday Celebration?

The best way to connect with others at The Jar is through small groups. We believe that's where your relationship with Jesus has the potential to grow the most. When you can get together regularly with the same group of people where you are known, loved, celebrated, and served, that's when you are really experiencing church the way God intended it. Get more information how you can get involved.

I have a prayer request. Who do I talk to?
After each Sunday Celebration, our
prayer team is ready and willing to speak with you. Pastor Chris, Isaac and Jana will also be available after the Celebration if you would like to speak to any of us. You can also fill out the Connection Card on Sunday or email your prayer request. All submitted requests are kept completely confidential.
