Our Staff

Chris Bunch, Senior Pastor and Founder
Chris has been a pastor for more than 15 years. He and his wife Jennifer have two beautiful girls, Jordan and Shiloh. As a family they enjoy taking walks in their neighborhood and hanging out together at home. Chris loves sports (except hockey and curling), is an extremely picky eater and thinks he's a good dancer. Although he's a fantastic pastor, he is thankful that he has Mikey to take care of all his technology needs.

Derek Young, Worship Leader
Derek joined the Jar staff in the fall of 2009. He is a Muncie native, so just ask him about any landmark or store, and he will provide you with a wealth of knowledge. Derek loves playing the guitar for Jesus. However, the majority of his free time is spent bargain shopping on EBay or at the Goodwill. Do not be alarmed if you see him in a pair of cowboy boots…he willingly wears them.

Jennifer Welch, Director of Children's and Family Ministries
Jennifer and her husband Steve reside in the big town of Farmland with their two children, Dillon (15) and Mollie (9), and one dog, Bo. Jennifer is involved with her daughter's girl scout troop as well as the PTO. She enjoys listening to Contemporary Christian music, reading, and when she has time, she likes to scrapbook.

Mikey Skoglund, Media Communications Coordinator
Mikey recently joined The Jar staff to assist in our creative media needs. He's the one in charge of our awesome videos now. Although he can put together a pretty sweet video, don't ask him to label CDs because that's not something he has mastered. Other than CD labeling, find something he can't do and he'll give you $100.

Amy Eller, Administrative Assistant As our administrative assistant, Amy completes various tasks for all of us at The Jar and is in charge of keeping everyone organized. Amy is always at The Jar office to greet you with a smile!
