Waiting can feel like one of the hardest things we are asked to do. In the waiting, our minds tend to wander into worry—wondering about what may or may not happen. Yet, Psalm 27:14 reminds us that in the waiting, we are called to be strong and take heart. This strength doesn’t come from our own efforts but from our trust in God. His timing is always perfect, and He is faithful to act according to His plan.

The call to "wait for the Lord" is not passive; it’s an active choice to trust Him even when we can’t see the outcome. Waiting on God often requires courage—to face uncertainty, to let go of control, and to trust that He is working behind the scenes for our good. In the waiting, God shapes our character, deepens our faith, and strengthens our reliance on Him.

If you find yourself anxious about the future or weary from waiting, remember that God is never late. He is always on time, and His plan is perfect. Ask Him today for the strength and courage to wait well, trusting that He is holding your life in His hands.

Prayer
Dear God, if I’m honest, waiting is incredibly hard. I worry about what might or might not happen. But, I also know your timing is always right. So, today I ask you to strengthen me and give me the courage I need to face all the trials in my life right now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
