"Come on in and welcome to The Jar. There's a place for you and your coffee." This is a typical way our weekend celebration begins. Nothing fancy. We gather in a simple, informal atmosphere.
Nearly 60% of those who attend The Jar each Sunday have either never been to church or went twice a year max. You're in good company with those of us who are exploring who God is, or rediscovering what church can be. Welcome! And bring your coffee in. What Can I Expect on Sunday? |
Relaxed Atmosphere
Don’t panic! No one is going to single you out. The most difficult thing we will ask is: ‘Would you like cream or sugar with your coffee?’ Cool Music The music at The Jar is encouraging and energizing. We want you to get a lift and not a letdown when you come to church. Practical Teaching Our pastor focuses his messages on real life issues. It’s not about pretending that we’re perfect, it’s about a God who is willing to love us no matter what. Fun Children’s Programs As a parent you need to be sure your children are in a safe learning environment. We’ve invested a lot to make sure this is the best hour of every child’s week. (infants - 5th grade) Real People We are just like you. There is no dress code, so dress casually and you’ll fit right in. |
