JarKids develops programs and ministries that are designed to teach children about Christ’s love and help them choose to live life His way. Families are encouraged, supported, and given practical tools to help their children in this effort. JarKids is for children age 6 weeks through fifth grade. We believe it is important to start building a firm foundation right away with Jesus as the center of the family.
By the time a child is five years old, we want them to know:

Values
Fun
We think being a Christ follower is the most exciting decision a person can make. We work hard to make sure that children find a place where they can experience the joy and excitement of knowing Jesus every week. “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again--rejoice!” - Philippians 4:4 Safe Children learn best when they are both emotionally and physically safe. We take seriously our responsibility to care for children while they are with us. We have designed a secure sign-in system, accident report system, and child abuse prevention program to ensure the safety of our children. Learn more about our safety procedures. → “The Lord is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life---of whom shall I be afraid? For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling;” - Psalm 27: 1, 5a (NIV) Bible Based The Bible is the final authority on all of our life issues. We want children to become acquainted with its contents and to learn to seek the Bible’s help when they are faced with decisions and problems. “You have been taught the Holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what it true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” - 2 Timothy 3: 15-17 Relevant The times are changing. We do our best to stay in tune with what our kids' worlds are like when they are not with us. We believe it is important to provide them with music and lessons that they can relate to. “He {Jesus} taught them by telling many stories in the form of parables.” - Mark 4:2 Applicable It is our goal that children will leave our care on Sunday ready to make one small change that helps them get closer to living God’s way. Lessons are designed to show students how God’s work works in their real world. “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” - Colossians 2:7 |
